The Cape Cod Rail Trail (CCRT) offers the best places for scenic cycling, local breweries, and delicious snacks. This trail, a former railroad track converted into a biking path, stretches 22 miles through the picturesque landscapes and charming, coastal towns of Cape Cod. It winds through forests, alongside lakes and ponds, and through the Cape’s best towns, offering a serene and varied biking experience. Well-maintained and mostly flat, the CCRT is perfect for riders of all levels. Whether you are a seasoned cyclist or a casual rider, you will appreciate this day trip for the smooth ride and beautiful surroundings. During the summer months, this popular destination is especially vibrant, bustling with fellow outdoor enthusiasts.

One of the most appealing aspects of the CCRT is its accessibility. Parking is available at various points along the trail, and bike rental shops are plentiful, offering everything from traditional bicycles to electric bikes for those looking to cover more ground with less effort. The trail is well-marked, making it easy to navigate, and there are many spots to stop, rest, and enjoy the natural beauty of Cape Cod.

For those over 21 and fans of good brews, here are five fun, favorite things to do to make your bike adventure unforgettable. (If you do the entire 5 stop tour, be sure to pace yourself as it is a little less than 50 miles round-trip and will take at least four hours.)
